Jan 6 Florida Stuff 16

A  Cape Canaveral National Seashore

Where are all the people?
There are no people.

Where's this beach located?
This is  north of NASA.

What's a 'National Seashore'?
It's a government controlled and managed park.

It looks really nice.
The park is big.
It's a National Seashore so most of the park is water.

B

How many birds are there? There are too many to count.
What kind of birds are there? Looks like pelicans and sand pipers.
Which ones are the pelicans?  The pelicans are the bigger birds.
What are they waiting for? I don't know, maybe fish.

C

What's that?  That's a wild fire in the park.
Was there a lot of damage? No, there wasn't much damage.

Why are fires important?
Fires are important to the regrowth of the forest/swamp.
This is the dry season in Florida. Many
fires can happen at this time.

D
Is NASA close by?   Yes, it's very close.

Can you see NASA from your house?  On a clear day, yes.

There goes one of the shuttles.

 Have a great Day!
