Zebra Longwing

This is the official state butterfly of  Florida.

This butterfly is found throughout the Americas.

The caterpillars feed on the Yellow Passionflower.

There is poison in this plant. The caterpillar absorbs the poison.

When it becomes a butterfly,

the zebra longwing is poisonous to eat.

This butterfly always roosts or sleeps

 in the same spot every night.

I've yet to see this butterfly.

I hope to see it someday, soon.
