Fishing in Florida

The sun's coming up! Let's go! The fish are waiting.
We need some bait first.

Here's a little fish.
It's a pin fish.
I caught it with a net.
It was too big to use as bait so I released it.

Look closely at the water.
Can you see the area of darker water?
That's not the current.
That's not a shadow.
That's a school of bait fish.

This little fish will help me catch a big fish.
I'll put it on the line.

She's moved from cold and wet Scotland to Florida.
Welcome to the Sunshine State.
This bird is a good swimmer.
It was able to swim several meters underwater.
It's Nessie.

What is that?

What is it?
Do you know?
It's a stingray.

Stingrays are related to sharks.
They are named for their tail.
Stingrays are found world-wide.
The tail or 'stinger' is used for defence.
Stingrays like to hide in the sand.
It can hurt to step on one.
Stingrays like to eat shrimp, shellfish and small fish.
I told you- everybody likes shrimp.
